SDI Open Water Scuba Instructor

The SDI Instructor course is designed to teach current divemasters or assistant instructors the knowledge to safely function as an open water scuba instructor.  This program is divided into two sections, an instructor development course (IDC) and an instructor evaluation course (I

EC). Qualifications of graduates upon successful completion of this course include the ability to teach the SDI Open Water Scuba Diver, Advanced Adventure Diver Specialty, Rescue Diver, Divemaster and Assistant Instructor courses.

Pre-requisites:

Minimum age 18
Certified diver for a minimum of 6 months
Provide proof of 100 logged dives completed in different environments with varying depths
Be certified as a SDI Divemaster, SDI Assistant Instructor, or equivalent.
Provide proof of current CPR, first aid and oxygen provider*, where local law permits
*SDI CPROX1stAED course may be combined with the SDI Divemaster program by qualified instructors

Schedule:

Sunday - Interstate participants must arrive at the latest on this day
Day #1 - Monday 8:00am to 6:00pm
Day #2 - Tuesday 8:00am to 6:00pm
Day #3 - Wednesday 8:00am to 6:00pm
Day #4 - Thursday 8:00am to 6:00pm
Day #5 - Friday 8:00am to 6:00pm
Day #6 - Saturday 8:00am to 6:00pm
Day #7 - Sunday 8:00am to 6:00pm
Day #8 - Monday 8:00am to 6:00pm
Tuesday - Interstate participants can fly home after 1 pm
